My rate for a 50-minute individual counseling session is $130.
At this time I do not take insurance.
I am an out-of-network provider and can provide receipts or superbills upon request. To find out if your insurance company has out-of-network benefits, call the member services number on the back of your insurance card.
Note related to the No Surprises Act, effective January 1, 2022:
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask me, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
I do not "prescribe" number or frequency of sessions. This is an ongoing conversation we can have throughout your counseling journey to assess what is right for you.
I often tell my clients that therapy should be "safe," in that it should never be traumatic or uncomfortable to the point of distress. However, the journey requires courage, as I believe true healing comes when we look at the hard stuff, the messy stuff, and the painful stuff. This is not always comfortable. However, my job as a therapist is to walk with you, providing a steady hand when it gets tough.
